Why Start a Blog…
I have thought about starting a blog before, but I was able to push the thought aside easily by asking, “What new information can I provide?” “How would starting a blog be useful?” “I don’t really have any new ideas.”
I have a personal Facebook page, but I often find that my shares and ideas are “shadow banned” or throttled so not as many people see my posts. This brought me back to the idea to start a blog to consolidate the information I learn and use and reach out a bit further than just my family and friends.
I was able to put the blog idea on the back burner for a little while, until the beginning of this month. During the first weekend of February I attended an IF:Local. It was a great event and very inspiring. At the end of the weekend we were asked, “What is your next step?” The first thing that came to mind was to start a blog. What better way to help spread the Gospel in today’s modern world, than through the internet.
The goal of my blog is to focus on ways to improve and optimize the health of the soul, mind, and body, and to share my testimony along the way. I will do my best to be thoughtful and tread lightly on difficult subjects. (Sometimes the reality of my metastatic cancer can trigger grief, sadness, fear, and pity from those around me.)
“And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.'” Mark 16:15
